ABHA: The Mohail Hawana Winter Festival in Saudi Arabia’s Asir region has welcomed more than 50,000 visitors.
Located on the outskirts of Mohail, 45 exhibitors have taken part in the festival, covering an area of about 20,000 square meters with stalls for local products, clothes, jewelry and perfumes, as well as a food court, a space for exhibitions and an area for games.
The festival’s executive director, Khaled Al-Suhaim, said: “A walkway that contributes to providing an aesthetic environment for visitors was set and was decorated with creative drawings. Daily performances of folk arts such as the Damma, the Khatwa and Ardah were also organized, as well as special performances for children every weekend by different groups. There were also exhibitions of plastic arts and photography.”
The area is a popular winter tourist destination owing to its moderate weather and diverse environments, offering vistas of green plains and mountains.
